Tradition and Transformation of an Ancient and ‚In-between’ Region in Asia Minor
In 2008, an interdisciplinary field survey project was launched in the Kibyratis (western part of the province of Burdur, South-West Turkey). Its goal is to examine the regional settlement patterns and the material culture. The project, a cooperation between the Institute of Classical Archaeology of the LMU Munich (represented by Oliver Hülden) and the Institute of Ancient History, Papyrology and Epigraphy of the University of Vienna (represented by Thomas Corsten), is supported financially by the Gerda Henkel Foundation in Düsseldorf.
